Driven to the brink of madness by her grief, Helaena made a desperate decision. In 130 AC, she leaped from Maegor's Holdfast, impaling herself on the spikes below. At the tender age of 21, she met a tragic end.
Aftermath of Loss
Helaena's death sent shockwaves through the royal family. Her brother and husband, Aegon, was devastated by the loss, as were many others. Behind this tragedy lurked the shadow of Daemon Targaryen, a man whose ambitions may have played a role in these desperate events.
